Pick-up at 07:30 from Marrakech. Drive to Ouarzazate via High Atlas mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 m), stopping to enjoy panoramic views and Berber villages. Lunch at a local restaurant in Tichka. Visit Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, UNESCO World Heritage site, featured in over 20 movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Jesus of Nazareth. Stroll across the dried river and explore the Kasbah. Continue to your riad in Ait Benhaddou for overnight stay. Optional overnight in Ouarzazate or Skoura.
Breakfast at 08:30. Depart through Valley of Roses and Dades Valley. Visit Kelaat Mgouna, known for the annual Rose Festival and local rose-water products. Continue to Todra Valley at Tineghir, learn about Berber tribal life, culture, and history. Lunch at a local restaurant in Todra Gorges. Drive to Merzouga, store luggage at hotel, relax with tea. At 19:00, ride camels (~1 hour) to the Sahara desert camp, enjoy sunset, dinner, live Berber music, and traditional Berber tajine. Overnight in desert tents under the stars.
Early morning camel ride to watch sunrise over the dunes, then return to hotel/riad for breakfast and shower. Depart towards Fes, passing Rissani and Ziz Valley. Stop in Midelt for lunch. Continue through Middle Atlas Mountains, stop in the forest to observe Barbary apes, then visit Ifrane (“Morocco’s Switzerland”) and the Stone Lion. Visit Azrou and meet local nomads for mint tea, learning about their lifestyle and Berber culture. Continue to Fes, arriving around 18:00. Transfer to hotel/riad. End of tour.
