Itinerary
Pick-up at 07:30 from Marrakech. Drive across the High Atlas mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass, with stops to enjoy panoramic views and Berber villages. Lunch at a local restaurant in Tichka. Continue to visit Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and famous movie backdrop (Lawrence of Arabia, Babel, Jesus of Nazareth). After exploring, continue to your riad in Ait Benhaddou. Overnight and dinner. (Optional overnight in Ouarzazate or Skoura).
Breakfast at 08:30. Depart through the Valley of Roses and Dades Valley. Stop at Kelaat Mgouna, famous for its Rose Festival and local rose-water cooperatives. Continue to Todra Valley at Tineghir for a cultural introduction to Berber life and tribal history. Lunch in Todra Gorges. Drive to Merzouga with scenic stops. Arrive, store luggage at hotel, then start a one-hour camel ride across Erg Chebbi dunes to the desert camp. Enjoy sunset views, dinner, and live Berber folklore around a fire. Overnight in desert tents under the stars.
Wake up early to enjoy sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel to the hotel for breakfast and shower. Drive to Rissani to visit the Kasbahs, palaces, souk, and Zawiya Moulay Ali Ash-Sharif. Continue to Alnif, known for trilobite fossils. Lunch with the traditional dish Madfouna (“Berber pizza”). Proceed to Agdz through the Draa Valley, stopping to visit Tamnaugalt Kasbah. Dinner and overnight in a hotel/riad in Agdz.
After breakfast, depart through the High Atlas mountains via Tizi n’Tichka pass. Enjoy several stops for panoramic views and Berber villages. Lunch en route in the High Atlas. Continue toward Marrakech, arriving in the evening around 18:00. Drop-off at your hotel/riad. End of Marrakech to Marrakech Desert Tour.
