Overview
Embark on an unforgettable 3-day journey from Fez to Marrakech through the magical Sahara Desert of Merzouga. This tour is the perfect way to discover Morocco’s stunning landscapes, Berber culture, and desert traditions in a short time.
From Fez, travel across the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane, known as the “Little Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild Barbary monkeys. Cross the scenic Ziz Valley and stop in Erfoud before reaching Merzouga, where a camel trek at sunset takes you deep into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp, enjoy a delicious dinner, mint tea, and an evening of music and dancing under the stars.
On the second day, wake up to a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara before exploring Rissani, Todra Gorges, and the Valley of Roses. Continue through Dades Valley and Skoura palm grove, with an overnight stay in a charming riad or hotel.
The final day takes you to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for many Hollywood movies. Cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka Pass before arriving in Marrakech in the evening.

Fes To Marrakech sahara tour via Merzouga -3 days 2nights, Pick up at (07:00- 08.00). Drive to Merzouga, then we will stop at the monkey forest to see Barbary apes (Monkeys) leaping from higher trees branches plus a visit to local nomads who live in a cave for mint tea with them to learn more about their way of life and information about their culture and Morocco Berber history. After that, we will move together to Ifrane or as it is known “little Switzerland ” that is established by the French in 1930 to see the famous landmark stone Lion.
13:00H Continue On our way to Midelt town where we’ll have lunch at local REST.
In the afternoon, we will cross/pass TIZIN TALGHAMT to reach Errachidia to see the admiring views of Ziz gorges, and Later on, stop at Ziz valley to see the panoramic views and take pictures.
16.00H continue to Erg Chebbi Dunes passing by Erfoud where we’ll have a visit to a local fossil craft workshop.
Continue to Merzouga.
17.30: On arrival, transfer to your hotel to store your luggage
18.00: Your local guide will be waiting for you to take you on a camel to enjoy attractive sunset in nomad tents where you will have an enjoyable dinner under a starry sky, sweet and cool air in the morocco desert with a Berber show to watch a spectacular Moroccan show Berber folklore around a central fire pit where musicians banging drums, dance in special for you. Additionally, you’ll not just listen and dance you’ll also attempt to sing along. Since the drums vibrating are very fabulous, You’ll enjoy a traditional Berber meal ″Berber tajine” and drink mint tea while sitting on cushions you’ll spend a mythical night like you are in 1000 starts hotel or more. 07.30 Early morning, we’ll enjoy Sun rising in the desert of Merzouga and have a delicious Breakfast and shower.
10.30H we will Leave Merzouga to Rissani
12.30H we’ll have a funny excursion to Rissani to see the kasbah, Old palaces and visit Darih Moulay Ali Sheriff; we’ll have dinner at Todra valley.
15.00 Continue to Todra Gorges where we’ll make a stop to discover the place and have some information given by your driver about history, culture, traditions, and way of life. In valley Today you’ll have an idea about how the Tribal chief or sheikh manages life in his tribe.
16.00 we’ll visit Kelaat Mgouna, Berber city which celebrates yearly a festival of roses in May, With your driver, we’ll meet locals and see rose water products made only from the rose used for face and body.
18.30 Arrive at sakura to spend our night in an attractive Riad called Sawadi in the midst of Skoura palm grove. Everything is perfect at this riad environment, palm trees, flowers, gardens, pool, Berber tent, animals (farm), Excellent organic food, and all vegetables, and fruit are produced on site. 09.30 Drive to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO world heritage site) where families still living in fortified Ksar. we’ll have much time to discover this natural decoration for so many movies around 20 movies which were filmed in this attractive area like “Lawrence of Arabia”, Babel, “The Mummy “, “ Jesus of Nazareth”…, We’ll stroll and cross the dried river to discover Ait Benhaddou Kasbahs.
12.30H Cross High Atlas Mountains and make many stops to enjoy the cool air and capture unforgettable photos again.
13.30 Arrive in Tichka and have lunch at a local restaurant
14.30 continue our drive to Marrakech via Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 m in altitude) while enjoying superb views and Berber Villages on the way.
